Carol Ferris – owner/designer
My education in interior design started at a young age growing up in Dallas, Texas. I was influenced very early on by my mother who was an ardent and eclectic decorator. I frequently redecorated our house with her, endlessly rearranging the furniture, shopping for that new accessory, and selecting fabrics to sew drapes or upholster a chair. My parents entertained frequently, so much attention was placed on creating a beautiful and welcoming home.
As a former Vice President Creative Director for international home and fashion brands, I have designed interior room sets for numerous editorials and photoshoots around the world. With over 20 years of experience in home interiors, I’ve had the good fortune to live and work in some incredible locations that still inspire me to this day.
With this early education in decorating and extensive travel exploring other cities, countries and cultures, I have a great respect for the beauty and historic value in older furnishings as well as new trends. I love to mix the posh with the patina by punctuating vintage pieces in with new furniture and accessories creating a harmonious balance and an interesting room.
As owner and designer of Carol Ferris Interiors my greatest satisfaction comes from creating homes that are inviting, beautiful and comfortable, and most of all, they reflect the personalities of my clients.

I recently bought a condo on Lake Monona and wanted to start brand new with furniture and decorating. I was referred to Carol through a friend of a friend. Carol was great to work with and meticulously walked me through the process as I had a hard time picturing the finished product in my head. Carol went to different stores around town with me to check out new furniture, light fixtures, dressers, art work, etc. Walking into the condo at the end of the project with everything in place was a wonderful experience. Strongly recommend working with Posh & Patina.

We had a very good experience with Carol. Our home was on the market for a couple of months with not much activity. Our realtor recommended her plus some more interior painting. The staging was very nice, artistically and professionally done. After the staging, a couple who had been unimpressed with our home prior to the painting-staging came back for another visit and made an offer the next day! Carol obviously has a great sense of what works!

Carol Ferris recently consulted with me on the staging of my 4 bedroom apartment in Manhattan New York City. I found Carol suggestions to be terrific!! We have eclectic furnishings including antiques and contemporary. Among other things Carol was able to recommend the absolutely perfect paint colors that complimented everything, brightened up the rooms, and lent a modern appeal to the décor. Carol is fun and easy to work with and takes the client’s taste and needs in mind. I highly recommend her as an interior consultant and staging expert.

I have worked with Carol on several occasions both for staging and interior design. Carol and her team always go above and beyond my expectations. She has impeccable style and can make beautiful interiors either working with a space that has furniture by editing and adding what is needed or working in a space that is completely empty. Carol has even helped me with space planning when I was building a new home. I highly recommend Carol Ferris Interiors.

I’ve known Carol Ferris for years, so it was an easy decision to have her stage my home for sale last year. I was amazed at the transformation of my own furniture and accessories into a beautiful showplace. I know that she was a big factor in my home selling so quickly. In fact, I loved Carol’s work so much that I’ve asked her to come into my new house and help me decorate it!
